美國聚合物標準品公司（American Polymer Standards Corporation, APSC）專業(yè)從事聚合物分子量分布分析，在分析各種材料例如尼龍，聚氨酯，聚乙烯，聚丙烯，共聚物等具有豐富的經(jīng)驗。分子量分布分析的主要方法有凝膠滲透色譜/尺寸排阻色譜(GPC/SEC)；多角激光光散射(MALLS) 以及氣相滲透壓法(VPO)。自1983年起，美國聚合物標準品公司即提供多種有機和水性聚合物標準品，這些標準品非常適合于儀器校準，聚合物樣品的GPC/SEC，MALLS或VPO的分子量測定。

聚異丁烯是一種飽和聚合物，因而能耐老化，耐臭氧，耐多種無機酸、堿、鹽和極性介質(zhì)的侵蝕；有極好的絕緣性和卓越的氣密性。缺點為容易冷流，但可添加大量的填充物或與其他橡膠并用以改善其冷流性。低分子量聚異丁烯可作潤滑油的增粘劑，以適應(yīng)在高溫下使用；高分子量聚異丁烯可摻合高壓聚乙烯作電纜涂層，還可用于防水膠布、防水石、蠟紙以及熱熔膠中。聚異丁烯的另一缺點是不能硫化。如將異丁烯與少量異戊二烯(＜5％)共聚,則可制得可硫化的丁基橡膠IIR,具有卓越的氣密性、水密性，是制造內(nèi)胎或無內(nèi)胎輪胎內(nèi)層最合適的材料。
